Every couple of days before we would start the day, I would go into the Shell settings and do some file cleanup and sort into folders or delete erroneous files. I have noticed though that the file name is still based off of the local machine data. So if you are not synchronizing time from the master, you will get files with a different time stamp from the master. This can cause a headache from the file management side of things, but hopefully if you have a good system as to who is responsible for always having the show file football, it won't be too much of a mess.

Also keep in mind that when you boot an RVI, it will load the last show file it had on it the night before until it finds the master, and will then take the download from the master. When I would boot up in the morning, I would see my EOD as the show title name at the top of the screen until the client saw the master and then the show file would restore to the main.

Some of these presets have info for every fixture in my list like Highlight and Lowlight levels, and those presets are set to be By Type.

If the show has a fair number of moving lights that I will be using to create various washes, I figure out in advance what all those generic systems might be, and then create the presets in a logical order and pre-label them. If reloading your show from USB and saving on the console works, it should be safe to proceed as normal. If you run into an Ion or Eos that is failing to save the show, it may be possible to recover the show from persistent storage.

Save logs from the console, which will contain the persistent storage files from the console since at least version 1.
